In this article, you will learn how to perform the initial configuration and adjust settings to current needs as a Q&A Discussion Forum Moderator for the Q&A Discussion Forum.

Initial configuration - first steps.

To activate access to the Q&A Module and to initiate discussions between involved parties, the Moderator+ must customize the initial settings (gif. 1), which include:

  • Defining which users in the VDR will assume specific roles in the Question-Answering Team;
  • Determining the categories* of questions to be addressed;
  • Creating the first Question-Asking Team and optionally setting question-asking limits for it.

*Question categories are not mandatory to define. You have the option to skip this step. However, if you decide to create them, then every Q&A participant who intends to pose a new question must select a category (from the provided list) in order to proceed.

Managing the Q&A Module.

At a later stage, the Moderator+ can continue to manage selected areas of the Discussion Forum (gif. 2), including:

  • Editing, deleting current question categories, and adding new ones,
  • Editing*, deleting*+ existing Question-Asking Teams and adding new ones,
  • Granting or revoking roles (Moderator+, Moderator, Expert, Viewer) within the Answering Team,
  • Editing, deleting, and adding new threads to the FAQ.

*The established team type cannot be changed.

**Deleting a team is only possible if it has not participated in discussions. If it has, you must first delete the threads associated with that team before you can remove it from the Q&A.
